Mariela Penkova

My name is Mariela Penkova and I was born in Gabrovo in 1975, and now I live and work in Sofia. I graduated in Cultural Studies and later in Geology and Mineral Resource Exploration, but painting is my love and passion. I started drawing at the age of 8. and since then I have been developing in the field of painting. I use different pigments, bases and color mixes and new tools. I work with oil paints, acrylics and watercolors. I often use gold foil and various gems for decoration. In this way, the paintings transform my emotional states and impressions, I connect with the Earth, space, silence and light. They are constant sources of inspiration and love for me. I believe that pictures can influence and really change a person's life. Therefore, I put all my love with the desire to reach many people, to touch their soul and share the great feeling of Love Together!
