My name is Dimitar Punev and I was born in the city of Sofia. I am a self-taught artist and draw inspiration from everything around me. An incident, an emotion, a book, a song, a friend's story - it's amazing what can touch my soul... I'm amazed at how much abstraction there is in nature and in the seemingly simple elementary pictures of everyday life.
My passion is world travel. Each new trip gives me a fresh opportunity to develop and change my vision and ideas. I see new cultures and colors, learn interesting stories and face incredible natural sights, meet the achievements of man in every aspect. All this leaves me breathless and presents me with new challenges as a creator. I would not like to explain my works because I believe that works of art are the relationship between the creator and the viewer. It's another level of communication, another kind of language. that needs no words...
