My
name is Petra Dobrevska and I am a professional artist.
I was born
in the beautiful and artistic city of Plovdiv and I carry its
creative spirit and energy with me!
My first exhibitions and
appearances as an artist were also there. I graduated from the Art
High School in Plovdiv and the Art Academy in Sofia, majoring in
painting in the class of Nikolay Maistorov. Painting is my passion
and element, but I also have experience in many other areas of art -
painted animation, professional make-up and body art, performance art
and installations, visual poetry and much more, includes realized
projects and exhibitions. Many of my paintings are owned by
collectors from Bulgaria, Germany, America, Spain and the Czech
Republic.
Contemporary art excites me in all its manifestations,
but in painting I find and rediscover myself throughout my creative
journey. My style is abstract expressionism, colorful, captivating
and awakening the senses. I like to work large abstract canvases,
saturated with different structures and colors, landscapes, portraits
and anything that brings an idea and a dose of provocation. I don't
like to frame myself and get into stereotypes. Art is love, and it
guides me in my quest as a creator. My art is sensitive and
intuitive, looking for light and its brilliance, as well as new
spaces for its free flight. I believe that in the end light leaves
indelible marks.
I have over 30 realized exhibitions, projects and
art installations. I work in bodyart, artistic and stage make-up.
Over 15 years. experience as a professional makeup artist and body
artist. I draw with natural henna, both traditional mehandy and henna
tatoo freestyle.
